Our service is tailored to each individual client. We value a high degree of compatibility between our clients and our philosophy of business. That means, this service isn’t for everyone. Total Crop marketing is for the farmer who wants to take the next steps in improving their crop marketing by bringing on a strategic partner who is invested in their personal success.
Services Included
Personalized Grain Marketing Plan
We don’t believe in a “sell it when the market is high” approach to grain marketing. A responsible, effective approach means building a plan that is as unique as your operation. Our plans cover farm financial management on a granular level and leave room for contingencies. We build marketing plans for each client that are written, objective, and actionable.
Ground-Up Financial Planning
Successful grain marketing plans start with a good working financial plan. We understand farming operations. We get that you may not have all the answers, but in order to make good grain marketing decisions we have to fill in the blank. We do this by taking a detailed survey of your farms production costs, capital requirements, and profit goals. We turn this into and actual “put your hands on it report” that we can begin to work from for the rest of the crop marketing year. This is how we set objective pricing targets and it serves as the foundation for each clients individual grain marketing plan.
Accurate Reporting
It is difficult to move forward if you are unaware of your current position. We provide a detailed performance review of where you are versus the profitability goals that are established in your marketing plan. We do this by tracking and updating market levels within your report daily. This helps ensure transparency in your performance. Our goal is for you to plainly see at any given moment and answer the question “How am I doing?” in regards to your crop marketing. As your grain marketing partner, this also helps ensure a higher degree of accountability in our relationship. Every grain marketing decision should have a justifiable motivation not just a gut reaction.
Education
If you aren’t learning, then we aren’t doing our job well. We want you to grow in your understanding of risk management techniques and tools so that you can have a greater degree of confidence in your choice to work with us.
Execution
Clients of our Total Crop Marketing plan partner with us to get things done. We work with our clients to actually help you implement and execute your marketing plan by establishing 3rd party Authorization. This allows us to go to work for you by sharing the workload not just the think load. Our level of execution is determined by your degree of comfort and specification. Our marketing advisers can execute cash grain contracts on your behalf based on your marketing plan and predetermined price target goals.
Note: This is not a managed trading account. The aforementioned authorization is only in regard to cash contracts that would be established between producers and their local cash grain buyers. Commonwealth Commodities LLC does not offer discretionary trading accounts at this time.
